To Kitt, Devon, and Bonnie Knight:

I just love all your comment, I thought they were both serious and funny. I also enjoyed watch Knight Rider when it was on tv. Now I will have to buy the rest of the seasons of knight rider so that I can watch them when ever I want.

Love your fan for ever;

Kim Straw

English isn't the youngest language. You're forgetting languages like Cobal, Fortran, C++, RPG III / RPG IV, PL/SQL.

Machine language is as much a language as any classical one.

Programmers are poets. And like poetry, some people like it, some people don't.

But without machine language, we couldn't be posting to each other now.

Without machine language, cars would still be a luxury for only the very rich.

Without machine language, farmers in Texas, and China, and Japan, would never have a chance to go to school, or learn a new language, or heck, even talk to us and David.

Hoffspace wouldn't exist without machine language. Without programmers.

KITT and KITT2008 wouldn't exist.

David might have ended up in New York back in 1982, and like so many Broadway performers, hardly anyone outside a major city would have heard of him.

Instead, thanks to the magic of the computer, we all have found a friend who has brought the world closer together. A prankster, who let someone else's "branding" of him become a place that I and others call "Home". Because HERE, at least, we can appreciate the real David, and know that here is a man who cares that his fans have at least one place on the internet where it is safe to talk about who we really are inside. What we believe, our dreams, our goals, without fear of being mocked for our belief in the same ideals David has held since that Knight Rider Pilot script landed in his hands, and gave off that golden glow that has brought us all here together. And if you think that the sacrifices that were made to bring us all together are insignificant, or that it's been an easy ride - try walking a mile in his moccasins one day. I've worked with a lot of people in the entertainment business. Some of them believe that stardom frees them from simple human politeness. Some of them believe that anyone who approaches them must automatically be a stalker, or intruding on their personal time. Some of them believe that their staff are non-entities, there only to be their personal slaves. Some of them are so self-centered, that they look at every relationship in their lives and ask themselves "what can this person do for me?", or turn their backs on the very people who got them where they are in the first place.

Unlike that kind of "Star", David, like Michael Jackson, like Brad Pitt, Audrey Hepburn, Bono, Bob Hope, Shirley Temple, Jimmy Stewart, Helen Keller, Billy Joel, Princess Diana, John Wayne, and others throughout our "Celebrity Driven" modern era, have made a conscious decision to make the world a better place through their example. Whether it be from sharing their struggles,or traveling to some of the most war-torn or god-forsaken corners of the world, to stand up for those who otherwise would have no voice, no hope, no relief. To bring the ideals for which the United States stands for - but frequently falls short of - to a wider audience.

Knight Rider will always be my favorite of David's projects. Because for me, Michael Arthur Long Knight was indeed King Arthur. My personal greatest American hero. A wounded veteran, a man who had seen horrific things, but still believed in the value of truth, justice, and the basic goodness of people. Michael Knight was a true renaissance man, who read constantly, a spiritual man, who could "feel" his partner KITT even when nothing remained but a few chips and a bag of bolts. Who, although he was set up to be a "loner", had an ever expanding family of Foundation team mates who he would risk his life for, over and over. Who loved and respected strong, smart women. Women like Bonnie Barstow and April Curtis, who were experts in their fields. Women like Patricia McPherson and Rebecca Holden, who inspired so many girls of my generation that women could do anything. That IT and Engineering, Math and Science and Technology were fields that were wide open for us.

And most importantly, through their example of basic humanity, and love, and caring for each other, they showed me the kind of person to aspire to. Were there flaws in the show? Absolutely. It was a product of it's time, and in many ways the '80s mentality of "by any means necessary" ended up undermining its message. But they showed us the way, and left us a "Foundation" with some wear and tear, that with a little TLC can truly be the Foundation for Law and Government - and a peaceful world. Because the opposite of "Love" isn't "Hate" - it's willful ignorance and bigotry. And thanks to David, and the work of his tech staff, people from all corners of the world get to know a little more about each other, and there's nothing as empowering as that.

William Daniels has been carrying on Knight Rider's Legacy as the voice of KITT, but I think even he would agree - Being the Face-man's a much harder row to hoe than being the Voice. After all, the recording studio's air conditioned! :)

So: "Here's Looking At You, Kid." And no matter how many times they tell you to "Sit Down, John!" ignore them. Know your pal KITT will ALLWAYS have your back.

Please leave more substantial messages! Not just "Hello, have a good time!". It is like eating a sandwich and finding it is just bread and lettuce, with no hard boiled egg, mayonnaise, mustard, onion and cheese.

What exactly is Hasselhoff Foundation? Is it like a charity thing? I guess I'll have to read more on it.
