I live in the capital of Russia, Moscow. It's a very beautiful huge city with great history. The most well-known landmarks here are, probably the Kremlin and the Red Square. There are a lot of great buildings, beautiful parks, interesting museums, etc. And Moscow underground is very beautiful. :)
I like to learn about different countries and cultures. I like to travel, but, you know, time and money is a tough things these days. :(
Will be glad to answer your questions here.
I live in Tours. I was born in this town and we always lived in the same department. Tours is about 2 hours from Paris. We had a huge historic heritage here : lot of tour this month were free in the week-ends. I'd like to do 4 of them but mom wasn't availalble to go with me and i didn't want to do them alone. So i haven't done one of them yet.

The castle of Tours is known, the cathedral and "Basilique Saint Martin" are a little more kown then the castle i think. Around "Plumereau Square", there are many houses with corbelled construction dating the Middle Ages.

IN 4 years, we'll celebrate the 1700th anniversary of the bith of Saint Martin who was Tours's bishop. You canhave more information about him on this site.
Recently, archeologists found remains of a "domus".

On the site of Tours, there's a better presentation than I can do about tourism and our historic heritage ( sorry it's in french but with online translator, it would be ok ). Here's the link

If you have questions, ask...
Hi!
That's great to hear about Tours! I've never been in France. I have some beautiful books about Paris, but I do not know a lot about Tours! I'm afraid I'll have problems with translating pages in French, but I've checked the photos of Basilique Saint Martin. It's amazing! If you have a possibility to make more photos or videos from your area, it would be awesome!

Hi Melissa!
It's nice to hear from you! :)
Hello there

I'm from Switzerland, and I live right now in Winterthur, a city in the Canton of Zurich in the german part of Switzerland. Here in Winterthur we don't have really much historic heritage here but there are other cities in Switzerland like Lucerne, Bern, Zurich and other places with much historic places.

I was already on a historic place this year :D in the mountains infront of the Matterhorn the most famous mountain in Switzerland and also a symbol on the Toblerone Chocolate :D It's the a picture of me for the Hasselhoff around the world competition there you can not see the mountain unfortunality because of the clouds and fog :(.
Hi DJSunshine!

I have to say, I love mountaines. I remember your nice photo for Hoff Around the World. But I've never eat Toblerone Chocolate!!! I have to buy it! :)

Hi my name is fiona and I live in Australia. I live the beach region of the eastern side of Australia. At the moment we are in a nine year drought. We are not able to use much water each day. We can not water our plants, so at the moment everything little is brown or has died, but there are still the big trees to shade us. It has just turned into spring and we are having temperture of 28 c to 35 c which is normally Summer Tempertures. The beaches are always fantastic with golden sand and large blue waves with lots of sun taned people. Most of our cities are on rivers and the middle part of Australia is desert. The north part of Queensland has got the rainforests and the Great Barrier Reef to go diving on and looking at all the Coral. I enjoy traveling aroung Australia and it is an ever changing enviroment. Fiona
Hi Fiona!
Oh, that's terrible what you've told about the drought! Is it natural for your area, or it's because of the climate changes or something? What do you think?
I guess that the beaches are really amazing! :) If you have any photos and you culd share them with us, it would be just awesome!
It is pretty natural and it is also changing with the climate change to, as the Ozone Hole abover Australia is getting larger so it will become hotter and dryer. There has been talk that the western side of Australia will become more tropical and like the eastern side while the eastern side will become more like a desert. It's just something that we are getting use too. We will also be getting more dangerous stoms and cyclones too as the years go on.
