What an experience about to happen! On 9/3 I saw that David was to be in Laughlin NV for several shows. Since Europe is a little far from Indiana, I decided this was my #1 chance for some "Hoff Time". Booked some air, booked a room and most importantly booked a ticket right next to the stage for David's kick-off show in Laughlin.

Not having an "unlimited" budget, I settled for 2 nights with 2 days of travel - oh yeah - less than 48 hours. But well worth it. By the time 9/21 arrived I was hopeful we would be celebrating a successful kick off to DWTS, but alas 'twas not to be. I sat in my room Tuesday night and nearly wept with disappointment when David and his lovely partner Kym made their graceful and elegant exit.

How would David be after this exhausting schedule and ultimate disappointment? I had never seen him live so really didn't know what to expect, other than possibly one tired Hoff. What an incredible pleasure to witness the best live performance I've experienced! The energy, the broad range of music, the costume changes - WOW!!! Not to mention, the casual grace and diplomacy he used when referring to DWTS. He might have been okay with those judges, but his fans definitely were not!

Following the show, he came out to do a little meet and greet, and honored me with quite a bit of his time as he signed my book, chatted about his new music and his beautiful daughters. A hug, a cheek kiss, and a photo. I'm still smiling.........thanks David.

Sue,

I loved reading your story and I am so happy that you got to see David in person. You commented on my post when I was lucky enough to see him for The Gulf is Back special and I felt so bad that you could not go. But I think your trip was even better. Seeing him perform a whole concert must have been wonderful. David is a sweet, wonderful person. On the night that he was voted off of Dancing with the Stars I was crying with you. I thought it was so unfair and that they did not even give him the chance he deserved. But, David is  the best and I knew he would find the energy to put on a wonderful concert for all of his fans.

I hope that one day I will get to meet him again and see him sing again, and who knows maybe we will both be there. Next time I have to get a picture with him. lol  I enjoyed your story very much thank you for sharing with us.

Pam
