I am a fan of America's got talent....ya we watch it in Ireland too, on TV3, along with Britain's got talent, and as I sat down the other night to watch the new season, I was in shock.....What happent???????, no Sharon and no Jerry.... and the whole layout of the show has changed, of course the Hoff was there and as brill as always, but the whole banter thingie was gone, those three judges made the show, their banter, there disagreements, and all the silly stuff they did, and their comments, not saying the show was bad or anything, but it will take getting used too, even David was different, well I did not get to see any of the audisions, it seemed to start with names being called from the audience, Please tell me I have missed a whole bunch of the show, and it dose not start from where I saw it the other night, as I am lost and dont know any of the proformers, and feel detatched from it all. What is so great about these shows is you become part of the whole thing, and get to meet the proformers from the onset, You feel their excitment, their disapointment, their anxitity, and their joy, you get to Know the judges, and know what reaction means what for the proformers, and which proformers the Judges like and dislike, even if they get into the finals, and I seem to have missed all that, as a proformer of sorts myself, I enjoy the fact that these people, with or without talent have the Ball's to get up there in frount of everyone and do their thing, and feel they are good at it, which sometimes is not the case, but sometimes a really talented person is found, in almost most states, I have had the fun of getting the winner right 2 years in a row, from when I first saw them.
I teach amature Drama and street proformances to children, from areas in life that may never get the chance to proform, or feel they are not good enough, and I come accross some very good talent in my area of work, and Love to watch them grow, in their choosen area, it may be street or stage, but I try to mix it as much as possable so they can have the chance to work with as many types of audiences as they can, but I am s stickler for prefection, and work to get the best out of the proformers, as this is what makes them strong and confident, and I love my job, I used to do it on a professional leval for 12 years, and choose to retire, and work on a voleentry basis, and it is more enjoyable now, and I can focous on one group or area, which at the moment is the children of my village in Co. Cork, who in 6 Months have achived allot, they have one sellout musical, under their belts, and a secound prize, in the community section of the 2009 St Patricks Day Parade In Mellow Co Cork, it is fantastic for them, as they put everything into what they did, I may have had the know how, but the credit goes to them and the whole community who have pulled together to make it possable. we are at present trying to decide on the next Stage production????? (That is now the hardest part of my job, getting that right). And that is what I love most about the Show is watching some person who did not know how talented they were grow infrount of such a huge audience, and being part of it from the onset, so thank you for that, as that is what I call real entertainment.
