I would like to share an important secret that I learned from a lop groom while ponying race horses at Santa Anita in 2004. (Horses and people have the same pH.)
Clay Poultice draw toxins out of your body. Waste toxins CAUSE pain.
When we build muscle or exercise muscles that are not used to being worked, the muscles get tiny tears in them. These tears heal, but the waste toxins released from exercising cause pain and soreness.
Clay Poultice
Start with the medicinal grade CLAY powder, ( 25 or 50 lb. bag)
Mixed with water so the clay is like thick mud
(read instructions on label).
These ingredients listed below neutralize toxins and stimulate circulation.
Ammonium Alum (used to make pickles),
Epson Salts,
Wintergreen Liniment
and little bit of Vinegar .
Mix together to make a "mud". Put it on the sore areas (legs, arms, back etc) about 1/8 " thick, then cover with brown paper (like lunch sacks are made of) and wrap with clear plastic food wrap.
Tape in place.
Leave on for 20 minutes then wash off. with warm water. Pat dry with a clean towel.
NOTE:It is important for the poultice to stay moist and not dry out so it keeps working to draw out and neutralize toxins.
This will invigorate the muscles and you will feel energized.
The race horses would want to buck and run faster, they felt so good
