Using the vision of "one man can make a difference" Glen Larson created the world of the Knight Rider and using the new 1982 Pontiac Trans am

which at the time was unlike any other American car due to its sleek lines, the car of the future was here!
Mike Scheffe was given the job of creating the car as we all know and love, he hand sculpted the nose and dash. The car itself had unlimited top speed, was virtually indestructible and was the worlds greatest super computer voiced by William Daniels.
On a weekly basis every child, and lets face it adults too, wanted to be Michael Knight’s co-pilot, men for the car and ladies for his good looks.
So with a fantastic team the car of the future and all round crime fighting Michael Knight the show was an unbeatable force and is still loved 27 years later.
Knight Rider ran from September 26, 1982, to August 8, 1986. and during that time the car and David had many changes with various costumes and car layouts, including a later super pursuit mode and convertible mode!
Although a lot of sadness was in the air when the show ended, it made it so David could go on to follow his dream -his singing career, but he didn’t forget about the Knight Rider because he took a handful of K.I.T.T. cars around Europe and it was a big hit like the show itself.
The show still lives on in the hearts of many and is celebrated through forums, car shows, K.I.T.T. replica owners and Knight Rider events and will continue to do so with the fans.
And why?
Because one fan can make a difference!
