We met these ladies from Saudi Arabia in Dubai (they'd come for the shopping) and it was very strange to me to see them so covered up! While I was in the Middle East though I learned that the reason they are so covered is because Allah told Muslim women in the Koran to be modest and that's how they interpret it in Saudi Arabia. I love to learn about other cultures because I think it helps promote peace and understanding.

Talk to you all soon, In shahallah

Hello David,

That's a great video. I wanna pay tribute to you for learning bout other countries. Indeed it promote understanding and Peace .If more people would do the same, the world would be so peaceful. Cultures need to be shared today, and not Feared! So thank you so Much for being that open-minded. You're an amazing person David. Hey, by the way, if youwant to learn more about arab culture, I'll be glad to tell you much more about it. You know from an arab ountry to another it's really different! Let me give you an example : I am from Tunisian origins, we're arab and Muslims, but women are not covered in Tunisia. This is Modern Islam. In Saudi Arabia, they pratice the Traditional Dogma of Islam. It's also Peaceful as in Modern Islam. The tradition are just different. Tunisia and Morrocco are closer to Europe and the Occidental way of Life. This is Why arabs in these ountries live the Religion more on the inside, and less aparent throught the way they dress.
so David I would honored to speak with you, If you wish to contact me, even for a brodacasted program or in Private, itwill be an Honor fr me to share This with you. I Live in France, Paris ad I am sure and we can meet one day. I'm one of your Biggest Fan, and thank you so much for making me dream with Knightrider when I was a kid, and then Baywatch!
Please don't hesitate to contact me : I know you're very busy, But I also know you're very Human and Down to earth.
Take care and see you soon Insh'Allah ! ( How do you translate this in English? " If God Will"? )

Hi David, I'm from Kuala Lumpur, West Malaysia and this is my first time sign up for this blog, not really as a big fan but I adored communicate with someone from different background and culture. I'm a career woman and a part time student in University of Wales, Newport, UK (post graduated). Not really have many friends but I do welcome new friends. Have you ever been in Kuala Lumpur? I viewed you as a successful person in your own interesting world and surrounded by beloved family, friends and fans. Glad for you. Wish to have more conversation with you whenever available. TQ David.

Very strange indeed, but also fascinating...especially when there are woman around these ladies who are dressed as they do in Western countries. It's really neat seeing cultures blend like that without a second thought. We could learn a lot from Dubai.

Thanks Teigin, couldn't agree more with what you said. It's really interesting to see these videos from around the world.

I read an article this morning about someone that spotted you skiing. It looks so warm there, I wouldn't expect there to be ski resorts!

WOW! Janine, what in heavens name makes you think that these women are responsible for something that happened in Cologne, you shouldn't speak on facts unless you have proof. What your saying is promoting hatred and it's wrong.

David, the videos you have had placed on Hoffspace are fantastic, the history of every country is something in which we all can learn from. The culture or traditions are so very unique to each country that make them something we all may like to participate in learning.

Thank you for sharing the videos with all of us that may not have the opportunity to travel to all the magnificent places that you have.

Questions: What is the food like? What is your favourite?

Take care,
Teigin

How sad that all you can think of when you see this video is terrorism. Firstly, this video was shot last week before the very sad events in Cologne on Tuesday. Secondly, preliminary reports suggest that the tram company working under the building are more to blame than anyway else. For you to attribute any blame to these people , or indeed the people of Saudi Arabia, is extremely prejudiced and will only lead to more fear, hatred and violence. While our hearts and prayers go out to the families who lost loved ones and we mourn the loss of a rich cultural treasure, we should certainly not use the event to perpetuate the cycle of hatred between Christian and Muslim which no one will win...
