Make HoffSpace Your Space...

Dear David I saw quick blurb on TV while channel surfing about you and wheels for the world and how the chairs were tied up in customs and they pushed them right through after seeing you the "knight rider". I have been operating a wheelchair recycling program here in the USA for 11 years now. My name is David Heim from Marlboro, Ma... I began a wheelchair recycling program in 1987 which includes repairs and sales of used equipment. Throughout the past 11 years our organization has helped hundreds of people with disabilities regain mobility. We step in when insurance fails and all other options are gone. Otherwise these needy individuals have to pay thousands of dollars or simply go without the basic need of mobility. In many cases we gave chairs and parts away to people unable to pay.
For those without insurance our organization is a saving grace. The majority of our clients are the ones who fell through the cracks, barely getting by with no outside support. On June 1st, 2008 I was no longer able to support this operation and decided to put it on hold.
Unfortunately, the number of people with little or no income or no insurance has grown. Throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts from Boston to Amherst people have come to rely on us to always be there for them.

Sincerely,
David Heim

we and thousands of other people that rely on power wheelchairs to be more independent would greatly appreciate any help that you could give us. We have helped hundreds and want to change hundreds into thousands. We are recognize by dozens of organizations including the CRPF and very proud and honored to be given his first wheelchair a proud moment to say the least.
I very pleased to see all the charity work are involved in.
